DITA 2006 Conference

Content creators convene in Raleigh, March 23-25, 2006 to learn about the Darwin Information Typing Architecture OASIS Standard

DITA 2006, the first annual gathering of DITA users, brings together experts from around the globe for a three-day conference designed to help attendees leverage the power of the Darwin Information Typing Architecture OASIS Standard.

An optional pre-conference workshop, Introduction to DITA, taught by IBM's Michael Priestley will get beginning DITA users up-to-speed quickly. IBM's Introduction to DITA (Michael Priestley) will equip workshop attendees with the knowledge needed to get started.

IBM's David Schell and an all-star line-up of content management luminaries will deliver presentations that will demystify DITA, explore its usefulness, expose its limitations, describe its components, reveal its flexibility, and showcase its success. Hands-on workshops and real-world case studies will demonstrate the strength and usefulness of DITA, reveal valuable tips and tricks, and help attendees avoid costly mistakes made by others.

In the exhibition hall, world-class software vendors and consultants will showcase XML authoring tools, content management systems, and consulting services designed to help attendees use DITA and extend its functionality.

DITA 2006 is co-sponsored by OASIS, the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards, a not-for-profit, international consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of e-business standards.

Platinum sponsors include IBM, PTC, and SiberLogic.
