Job Description:

• Lead a project to migrate software end-user documentation from unstructured FrameMaker to DITA XML using the DITA Open Toolkit.
  
• Develop and maintain DITA specializations, style sheets, and XSLT transformations to optimize documentation deliverables.
  
• Support a global technical writing team on an ongoing basis by helping them with DITA and XML-based authoring tools.
  
• Administer a content management system
  
• Research and develop tools and processes to enhance our authoring environment.
  
• Act as the DITA advocate and coordinate with the translation team and other groups within Informatica
  
• Document authoring and publishing processes.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years technical writing experience (software)
  
• Proven track record in migrating documentation from unstructured Frame to DITA
  
• Expert knowledge of DITA Open Toolkit
  
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with a global team
  
• Experience customizing style sheets, including CSS and XSLT, to customize deliverables
  
• Ability to create DITA specializations
  
• Experience with structured authoring based on DITA topic types
  
• Advanced knowledge of help systems (Web Browser-based Help, Eclipse Help, Microsoft HTML Help)
  
• Advanced knowledge of HTML technology (HTML, CSS, and JS)
  
• Advanced knowledge of XML-based authoring, including use of DTDs, CSS, XSL, XSL-FO and XSLT
  
• Experience with FrameMaker,
  
• Experience working with a translation team to produce PDFs and online help in multiple languages
  
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
  
• BA/MA/BS/MS/PhD
