DITA and Wikis

Wiki systems make it easy to edit documents online, which makes wikis a compelling tool for document collaboration. Current wiki formats, however, don't allow for the kind of reuse that the DITA was designed to enable.

For a DITA-to-wiki use case study in which conref and ditaval in wiki output are tackled, see:

The use case study was presented at the CTDUG panel, "What does DITA have to do with wikis? Part II" in February, 2008.

The STC Intercom article in April 2008 about DITA & Wikis provides further information about the Lombardi Wiki.
