Montreal, Canada – October 4th 2007 – IXIASOFT, the XML content management market leader, announced today that Isilon® Systems, the leader in clustered storage, has chosen IXIASOFT to develop its DITA-based Knowledge Center Portal. The Isilon Knowledge Center portal will provide customers a single access point for help information, reference information, knowledgebase articles, and product downloads.
Isilon Systems has chosen the DITA standard in order to improve technical documentation efficiency and deliver on-demand personalized information to their partners and customers. In order to support their DITA-based documentation process, Isilon Systems has just deployed IXIASOFT’s DITA CMS Framework for the production of their content.
The DITA CMS Framework will push DITA content directly to the Knowledge Center allowing Isilon to fully leverage the structure and modularity of their content. One of the key advantages of the Knowledge Center is that users of the portal - partners, customers, internal Isilon teams – will necessarily have access to up-to-date information giving them the tools to perform high quality work. The Knowledge Center, just like the DITA CMS Framework, is based on TEXTML Server, IXIASOFT’s award-winning XML database.
