- Snapshots – allowing authors to tag content from any state of the workflow, improving performance and adding flexibility to the workflow process of “releasing” content
- Enhanced search view –allowing authors to find and reuse content quicker than ever with advanced filters
- Reusable component view – allowing authors to quickly locate and use their reusable components in fewer steps
- Enhanced spell checker view – allowing authors to spellcheck multiple files at once and make corrections directly from the view or jump into the documents, improving accuracy
- F1 Help – allowing authors to readily access and navigate contextual help throughout the CMS using the F1 key
Additionally, DITA CMS 4.0 allows users to:
- Insert links to bug tracking systems – this is a system configuration that enables DITA CMS to be linked to any bug tracking system, such as Jira.
- Automate localization with the Localization Scheduler – a configurable tool allowing organizations to use DITA CMS in conjunction with any Translation Management System
- Better manage their outputs through a complete overhaul of the Output Generator – the publishing engine within DITA CMS – which enables the CMS to run multiple versions of the DITA OT, providing clearer logs to the user, and facilitating maintenance and upgrade processes
