Job Title               : DITA Architect

Location               : Palo Alto, CA

Duration              : 6 months

Position Overview:

Looking for an experienced software developer to be an integral member of the design team to create a new DITA based CCM system. The ideal candidate is confident, analytical, forward thinking, highly technical, solid communicator and team leader/collaborator. The candidate must have a proven track record of designing and implementing high performing, scalable solutions. Candidate must have experience in solving complex problems, using latest technologies, frameworks, prototyping, industry standard best practices for performance, scalability and optimization.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and/or related technical major and a minimum of 5 years development experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Architect content management based solutions including ECM and DITA CCM

·         Translate business needs into business capability designs and solutions, assigning responsibilities to solution components

·         Develop logical and physical models of solution components using relevant modeling frameworks (ie. UML)

·         Design for high performance and implement optimizations in the design and code

·         Improvements to and support of new Dita CCM system with high performance and quality

·         Integrate the Front end components with Back end systems

·         Collaborate and coordinate well with distributed team members and stake holders

REQUIRED SKILLS

·         10+ years of development experience

·         5+ years development experience in application and E2E system design

·         Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than positional authority

·         Expert level in DITA based Component Content Management CCM systems integration such as SDL LiveContent or Vasont or IxiaSoft

·         Expert level in Enterprise Content Management ECM solutions integration such as IBM FileNet

·         Expert level in Java/J2EE, C# and/or .Net technologies and frameworks

·         Expert level in error handling strategies

·         Experience in SQLServer or other RDMS

·         Ability to performance tune on Front End as well as Back End components/services.

·         Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), distributed team collaboration and coordination skills

·         Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative (being a self starter) and getting things done.

PREFERRED SKILLS

·         CMS and CDS experience

·         Experience with enabling web content for internationalization and localization

·         Weblogic, JBoss, Apache or Tomcat

·         Eclipse, Visual Studio, Toad,

·         Experience with SVN (Sub version) or other version control systems

·         JUnit, NUnit

·         Code analysis tools for debugging

·         Development expertise in Agile/Scrum Methodology
