New XMLmind XML Editor v6.6 has an enhanced "Easy Profiling" add-on which should interest DITA authors. (XMLmind XML Editor being a modular software, most major features are packaged as add-ons.)

This "Easy Profiling" add-on which is installed by default:

• Allows to quickly and safely set conditional processing attributes (AKA profiling attributes) on elements.
• Allows to visualize on screen elements which should be flagged or excluded according to their profiling attributes.
• Automatically creates DITAVAL files which are then used when converting a DITA document to other formats.
