January 17, 2012, Swindon, United
Kingdom – Stilo International (LSE:STL.L) announced today that it has recently successfully completed a content
conversion project, in a matter of days, for Webtrends, Inc., the global leader in mobile and social
analytics.
Given the project was for the
conversion of hundreds, rather than thousands of FrameMaker pages to DITA, Stilo
operated their Migrate cloud conversion service on behalf of Webtrends, and provided them with
high-quality DITA output, almost instantaneously, for subsequent QA and
acceptance.
Commenting on the conversion, Julia Pond,
Information Architect at Webtrends, stated: "Two challenges everyone
faces with DITA are adoption and getting legacy content 'out of the hole' in
terms of making it pay. We're making headway with both of these at Webtrends.
I knew there were companies out there doing conversion to DITA, and I was so
glad to have discovered Stilo. The output we received was just beautiful--to
get 800 pages back so quickly and in such a polished state was fantastic, better
than I ever thought possible."
Stilo's Migrate cloud conversion service
processes documents, including Word, FrameMaker and InDesign, over the internet
and converts them, in real time, to DITA and custom XML formats on a
pay-as-you-use basis. The service can be self-operated, or for smaller
projects, managed directly by Stilo's conversion services team, generating
high-quality output in record time.
The Migrate conversion service is
extremely scalable and provides time, cost and quality benefits to organizations
of all sizes, no matter how large or small the conversion project. Customers
include IBM, Cisco Systems, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and
STMicroelectronics.
