WebWorks' latest version of ePublisher is almost here and will be ready for release in just one week, on August 24.

ePublisher version 2011.2 will officially contain support for the DITA 1.2 standard! 

What's New in ePublisher 2011.2

• ePublisher 2011.2 will allow you to easily deploy projects that have been customized for DITA 1.0, DITA 1.1, or DITA 1.2.
• Using ePublisher's project model and ability to handle customizations, you can now safely work on projects developed around an older standard of DITA, while at the same time working on newer projects that use the latest 1.2 standard of DITA. 
• Teams can upgrade to the latest DITA standard without having to re-implement their DITA projects. 
• ePublisher is the first and only commercial solution to offer this type of DITA support.

What's New in DITA 1.2

• DITA 1.2 has added support for "keyref" attributes. This means that you can give your topics a symbolic name in a "key attribute" and then reference that attribute in all areas where you want to link to that topic. Thus, if you ever change a topic location, you only need to edit the new location in one area.
• The DITA 1.2 language standard includes several modules created by the DITA Learning Subcommittee. These modules were created by experts in the learning field and include several specializations of topics and tasks used to design information related to learning activities.
