Audubon, Pa.—June 30, 2009—Really Strategies, Inc. announced today the successful acquisition of DocZone.com®, a SaaS XML content management provider. DocZone.com is known for its affordable DITA-based technical publications solution that is easy to configure and use. The acquisition will complement Really Strategies’ RSuite product line, offering publishers, media companies, and technical publishers an array of pricing and implementation models that fit their business needs.

The DITA Pharmaceutical Content Subcommittee will define DITA topics, maps, associated metadata properties and terminology to streamline design and creation of the complete body of pharmaceutical documentation required to present a product for scientific and regulatory purposes throughout its lifecycle.

Syntext, Inc., a developer of software for XML content authoring solutions and related services, announced the release of a Free Edition of Serna WYSIWYG XML editor. Serna Free provides a solution for students, open source developers, and other users to work with DITA, DocBook, and other XML formats. Authors can upgrade their Serna Free to the Enterprise Edition, which enables enterprise-oriented features such as integration with content management systems, collaborative authoring, and customization APIs and tools.
