Revision of Contribute content from Mon, 2007-10-08 19:22

DITA XML.org is a community-driven site and encourages content contributions from readers. A one-time registration is necessary before adding content.

  • Contribute to the DITA knowledge base by editing and creating collaborative Wiki pages.
  • Post news, events, product and services listings, testimonials, and recommendations on DITA resources. Other people will be able to append comments but will not be able to directly edit what you post.

The first step is to register and log in to the site. Then you can:

-Edit an existing wiki page by choosing a page from the main wiki outline. Select the "edit" tab. In the "Body" window, add and/or revise content. Preview and submit your changes.

-Add a new wiki page by selecting custom form. Use the "Parent" menu to designate where your page should appear in the main wiki outline. Complete the "URL path settings" field to give your page a meaningful URL.

Alternatively, you may add a new wiki page from the edit window of an existing page. Simply type your new page title surrounded by double brackets.

-Post news, events, product and services listings, testimonials, and recommendations on DITA resources using custom forms. (You must be logged in to access this page.)

Not sure where to add something? See How to use this site.

Please review the XML.org Editorial Guidelines and the Styleguide before contributing content to any page.
