John Hunt, of IBM, will give a presentation regarding the use of DITA for learning content. He's been working on a new Learning and Training Content specialization that will be part of OASIS DITA 1.2 release. If you'd like to do a little pre-work, check out <a href="http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/xml/library/x-dita9a/" target="_blank">this article</a> about using XML (such as DITA) for learning content.

John is DITA Architect in the Lotus Information Development Center at IBM and Chair of the OASIS DITA learning and training content sub-committee. He has fosters the adoption of structured, intent-based design and authoring of learning content with good instructional design and learning architecture. In his over 20 years of experience in user assistance and information development, John has designed award-winning help systems and spearheaded his team's adoption of DITA XML and a topic-based information architecture. John is a member of the core team responsible for DITA at IBM and a member of the DITA OASIS Technical Committee.

Directions

The photo has a marker showing the Building C entrance at the north side of the campus. If you turn off of Parmer at the main entrance, you'll need to skirt around the west side of the buildings to get to the C entrance. If you head east/northeast on Anderson Mill from Parmer, you'll find the "back entrance" that feeds directly to the Building C entrance.
