September 2009 Meeting

IBM DITA Wiki--a first year retrospective
The IBM DITA Wiki went live as a hosted service within IBM one year ago.
Don will chronicle the evolution of the user experience, some of the
critiques and validations thus far, and the lessons learned that are
already informing the next generation of this effort.

 

Presenter

Besides his main work as husband, father, and cat lover, Don designs and
supports DITA authoring and publishing solutions for IBM. He has
represented IBM on the W3C XSL and CSS Working Groups, and currently is
Chair of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee. He has B.A.s in English and
Journalism and an M.A. in Technical and Professional Communication from New
Mexico State University. His hobbies and interests include water gardening,
discovering great indi music,  and collecting/repairing/using old film
cameras.
