OVERVIEW:

Do you need to share your DITA content with external teams, such as OEM partners, or with other internal teams? If so, come learn about the available methods and how to determine which ones will work best for you.

The presentation will address the following considerations:

•   How do you handle content with conditional processing values?
•   Can you still reuse content via conref and keyref attributes?
•   How do you share specialized content?
•   How do you get the DITA source out of your CMS, CCM, or source
control system?
•   What are the best exchange formats?
•   Should you allow other parties to have direct access to your DITA
source?

None of these considerations precludes content sharing, but they do impact the decision process. It’s time to unlock the  possibilities for content sharing from your DITA source! Many teams have implemented DITA and now have a robust content set. However, they are not fully realizing its value in terms of sharing content with internal and external stakeholders. In particular, many teams struggle with sharing content with OEM partners and rely on outdated processes and technology rather than  optimizing their DITA content processing.
