Affordable SaaS Environment for DITA Authoring, Content Management, and Single-Source Publishing; Epson America, Inc. Implements New Solution
November 17, 2008 – MUNICH – DocZone.com (www.doczone.com) today announced the immediate release of DocZone DITA™, a new Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for creating, managing and publishing DITA content. The announcement was made at the DITA Europe Conference 2008 being held November 17th and 18th at the Holiday Inn Munich in Germany.
The new DocZone DITA product is a complete end-to-end hosted solution, integrated with JustSystems’ (www.justsystems.com) DITA authoring tool, XMetaL Author Enterprise (see today’s related announcement highlighting DocZone.com and JustSystems partnership), component content management (built as a layered application onto the Alfresco open source CMS), workflow, and single-source publishing to the DITA Open Toolkit. DocZone DITA is bundled with full support for DITA features such as conref and DITA maps, so that it is ready to use “out of the box” with little to no additional setup required.
Dan Dube, CEO of DocZone.com, commented: “We are pleased to offer DocZone DITA to the market. We feel that this solution provides the most comprehensive end-to-end framework for managing the creation of DITA content, at the most affordable price in the industry.”
"We were looking for a DITA-based CMS solution to help our writers leverage the benefits of content reuse, reduced localization costs, and automated single-source publishing," notes Burt Courtier, Manager of Documentation/Software Integration at Epson America, Inc. "After researching available options, we selected DocZone owing to their unique combination of robust functionality and affordable pricing model. We look forward to realizing the cost savings from our DocZone DITA implementation for years to come."
The base price of DocZone DITA is USD$395/month, and is immediately available.
