Her interests include DITA training and best practices, build automation, and strategies for helping writers make the transition from book to topic-based writing. She has presented at numerous conferences on such topics as DITA short descriptions, IBM Task Modeler, and prototyping online information. </p><p><img src="http://www.comtech-serv.com/images/Hackos.gif" border="1" alt="" hspace="2" align="left" /><strong>JoAnn Hackos</strong> is co-chair of the OASIS DITA Adoption Committee and founding member of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee. She is president of <span style="color: #3366ff"><a href="http://www.comtech-serv.com/" target="_blank">Comtech Services, Inc</a>.</span> and executive director of <span style="color: #3366ff"><a href="http://www.infomanagementcenter.com/" target="_blank">The Center for Information-Development Management</a></span>. She has been instrumental in promoting DITA with the information-development community worldwide.</p><p><strong><a name="gershonJoseph" title="gershonJoseph"></a>Gershon Joseph</strong> in a Technical Leader at <a href="http://www.cisco.com" target="_blank">Cisco Systems</a>, working as a consultant in the Doc Tools team that supports Cisco's technical documentation groups. Gershon has successfully implemented several DITA-based XML and CMS solutions. Gershon represents Cisco on numerous OASIS DITA technical committees, and is a member of the OASIS DocBook technical committee. </p><p>&nbsp;</p>
