Intel XML/XSL Developer

As part of a XML development team, you will be supporting an Information Development team in managing and publishing software product documentation from single-sourced DITA XML files. Behavioral traits for this position include: must be a quick learner, an investigative mind, ability to work independently, ability to take the initiative, good problem solving skills. Be a good communicator and listener as you will need to be able to work closely with authors across multiple geographic locations to resolve technical issues they experience. Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing XML using DITA OT:
- Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting author issues related to XML content authoring using XMetaL, fixing output format related issues generated by XSL transforms.
- Project work includes migrating content from sources such as MS Word, HTML, FrameMaker to XML, developing new DITA transforms

2. CMS Administration:
- Daily responsibilities include supporting authors as they use the CMS, resolving the issues that they face, e.g. workflow issues, publishing issues.
- Project work includes integrating new DITA transforms with the CMS, collaborating with other departments using the CMS.

Minimum skills and qualifications:
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
You must have 1-2 years experience/recent graduate:
- developing XML, XSL/XSL-FO, DTDs, and Schemas
- using XML development and authoring tools, e.g. OxygenXML, XMLSpy, XMetaL

Preferred skills and qualifications:
- ANT, Perl or other scripting languages
- Web development tools: HTML, CSS, Java, Javascript, ASP .Net, PHP, and JSP pages
