OASIS DITA specialization subcommittees
The Charter for the OASIS DITA Technical Committee states, "The TC may consider the creation of subcommittees where there is an immediate interest in developing specialized extensions, but it is also anticipated that such extensions could be adopted locally and informally within specific information exchange communities."
Over the past several years, the DITA TC has accepted a number of requests to host particular subcommittee activities. Some subcommunities exist specifically to create and promote community-specific specializations, such as the DITA Learning and Training Content Specialization Subcommittee. Other subcommittees exist to explore best practices and to promote standard DITA usage across their identified communities, such as the DITA Translation Subcommittee. Here is the full list of DITA TC Subcommittees.
Members of the OASIS DITA TC may initiate the creation of a new subcommittee by following the Subcommittee section of the OASIS Technical Committees Process document.
