Global spell check and global search and replace

Is there any DITA editor that offers global spell check (spell check of all topics in a dita map) or is global spell check only available through a CMS? Same question for global search and replace.

Opening up this topic again--global spell check for xMetaL?
We have xMetaL 5.5, which has no map-wide spell check ability. I don't foresee us upgrading to xMetaL 6.0 (which does have spell check). Does anyone know of an add-on?
