Revision of Optimizing DITA for Translations from Thu, 2008-03-13 19:10

The OASIS DITA Translation Subcommittee has created a series of Best Practices documents for those who want to optimize their DITA content for translation. The Best Practices are published as committee drafts of the OASIS DITA Technical Committee.

The three Best Practice white papers will help you

  • migrate your existing translation memories so that you preserve the maximum value of your memory assets
  • add index tags so that translators can ensure that the index sort order is correct in multiple languages
  • use conrefs so that they can be correctly translated without grammatical errors in target languages
