DITA XML.org is the official community gathering place and information resource for the DITA OASIS Standard, an XML architecture for designing, writing, managing, and publishing information. We encourage you to contribute content to this site.

DITA Infocenter 1.1

 At the last meeting of the Boston DITA Users Group we discussed adding the 1.1 versions of the language and architecture specifications to the Eclipse Help interface at http://www.ditainfocenter.com.



 
There were some who said we should simply replace the 1.0 versions. We have heard from others who said that some products would continue to support 1.0 for a while and that we should leave both in place.

eLearning Content with DITA and SCORM

This year is the tenth anniversary of the Defense Department's development of the Sharable Content Object Reference Model and SCORM is on its way to dominating the content marketplace for on-line courseware, both educational and corporate. SCORM is now managed by the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative, a part of the office of the Secretary of Defense, which now requires that all eLearning materials be SCORM compliant.
